Six (6) team Schedule - Starts Nov 14th

All,
Based on the feedback I received it seems people want six teams and no byes. Since this is a new change we will play:
  • Next week, Nov 7 with the old teams
  • Following week, Nov 14th start with new teams as noted below (schedule to be posted shortly)

Note, this means we now have no spares. I am hoping to get a few people to sign up for this role. If you know of anyone else who would like to play, it is only $40 to join as a spare and chances are you will get to play a fair bit.

Your team is counting on you to be there. If you can't come please notify Roz and I no later than Tuesday night before your scheduled game.

If one player is missing from a team they can still play with 3 teammates. If 2 or more are missing the game is forfeited and we would like to be able to notify the opposing team.

Starting Wed. November 14th: NEW teams, note most teams remain the same

How do I find a replacement or 'spare' to fill in my position?

Q: I have a doctor's appointment on the day my team is playing. How do I find someone to fill in my spot?
A: Curlers are responsible for obtaining their own replacement - called a 'spare'.

Q: When should I contact my 'spare'?
A: This should be done with as much PRIOR notice as possible.

Q: Who should I contact first?
A: Contact your 'spare', in the order below. Remember to let them know:
  • Who you are
  • What position you are playing
  • Which team you are from
  • What date you would like them to 'spare' for you

1. Start with the official 'Spare list', here:

2. Next check Schedule to see which  team does not have a game that week - this is called a 'bye'. Contact any member of that 'bye' team. Contact list will be circulated directly to all the contacts of the TFL.
3. Let Deb, Roz & your skip know that some one else is filling in for you - this is called 'sparing'
